Mindful Yoga with Jenny Commerford

I am a qualified Inner Yoga Trust teacher (BWY accredited) and have been practising and teaching yoga for over 30 years.

It is my belief that, with safe teaching and guidance, everyone can practise yoga, regardless of age and perceived ability.

Tuesdays 12.00 – 13.30    ( term time only )

This class is suitable for you whether you are a beginner or have practised yoga before. 
We practise asanas/poses lying, sitting and standing.
Props: mats, chairs, blocks and belts.

I will encourage you to listen to and be guided by what you are feeling in your body.
In this way, you will learn to move with awareness and at your own level and pace.

Yoga will help you to

  • relieve tension and stress by calming your body, breath and mind
  • improve your posture and balance
  • increase your strength, mobility and flexibility
  • increase your sense of wellbeing
  • relax

We also look at how your yoga practice can enhance your everyday life.

I find the Yoga classes that are run by Jenny Commerford at the Wrecclesham Community Centre to be very informative and interesting.  Jenny works hard to bring out the best in everyone and creates a definite sense of well being.

As a separate matter, the redecoration of the Centre is very good and benefits us all.

I have found the weekly yoga classes at Wrecclesham Community Centre extremely helpful.  They help to keep my joints more flexible and mobile and definitely assist with any problems with balance.  As I have two replacement hips I find that Jenny is able to tailor the class to assist me.

Most of our Yoga Class tend to be older people, including myself.  I am a keen gardener and I find that yoga relieves aches and pains.   The lessons also teach us to be aware of how we are bending/lifting and general posture.  I have found yoga does stretch and strengthen my muscles and joints.

I have been attending Jenny’s class at the Wrecclesham Community Centre for several years.  It is a pleasure to look forward to each week, both as a social get together and more importantly for the exercise.
Since becoming a Senior Citizen I have attended many dance, yoga and pilates classes.  This one is a particular delight for me because Jenny takes time to discuss problems and will always adapt an exercise for individual needs.

I would be lost without this class and hope it will continue for many years to come
